I finished grading the LIS Model/Theory Research Summary assignments Saturday and noticed that quite a few papers went over the word count limit. As a reminder, the assignment instructions state:
The LIS Model/Theory Research Summary, including the reference list, should be a minimum of 1000 words in length and no more than 1250 words. It should be double spaced and in APA 7 format.
For this round, I decided not to deduct points for going over the word count, but please keep those limits in mind moving forward. Word counts are part of learning to write clearly and concisely in scholarly contexts, so future assignments will include point deductions if the limits are exceeded.
Thank you for the thoughtful work—there were some excellent summaries in this set.
