Request for participation in AI survey

greetings everyone in my section of 200. Please see the following message from Dr. Luo:

Hi everyone,

I am inviting you to participate in an anonymous online survey about how students evaluate AI-generated output in common academic tasks. The survey is titled “Calibrating Trust: Student Verification of AI Output Across Academic Tasks” and for research purpose. (I’m trying to reach as many students as possible, so please excuse any cross-posting. Thank you for your understanding.)

It will take about 10 minutes to complete the survey. Your participation will greatly help improve teaching and student support related to responsible AI use, specifically, how instructors can better support students in evaluating AI output.

Participation is completely voluntary. You may skip any question you prefer not to answer, and you may stop the survey at any time by closing your browser. Your decision to participate or not participate will have no impact on your grades, academic standing, or relationship with SJSU or the School of Information. The survey is anonymous and does not collect names, student IDs, or other direct identifiers.

If you are currently enrolled in an SJSU School of Information program (Spring 2026) and have used generative AI tools for school-related tasks in the past 12 months, you may participate by clicking the link below:

If you have questions about the study, please contact me at lili.luo@sjsu.edu. Thank you for considering this request.

Sincerely,

Lili Luo, PhD

Professor, SJSU School of Information
