Introduce yourself by describing an information community in which you belong. The community description can be as creative as you want it to be; your description can be written as a straightforward textual description, or it can even be presented as a narrative in an imaginative story, photographic journey, digital artwork, video/vlog, or audio podcast. Share whatever information you would like to about your community, utilizing whatever medium helps you to highlight your own personal interests and passions. Utilize and cite resources from Module 1 to get started.

Getting Started
- Review the resources in Module 1.
- Select an information community in which you belong. Do not select an information community you wish to explore later in the course.
- Make sure you can log into your iSchool blog.
- Review the how to pages for WordPress blogs.
- Consider how you will present your information. Will it be primarily text, a story, or will you use multimedia? You have many options and can be creative.
Assignment Requirements
- The blog report should introduce yourself by describing an information community to which you belong.
- The blog must be shared on your iSchool WordPress blog site.
- Use Module 1 and the definition of Information Communities to support your exploration.
- Any references should be in APA 7th edition format.
- Hanging indents are difficult to add in WordPress, so are not required for blogs
- Do not write about the community you will research throughout the course. You will begin your work with your chosen community with blog report #2.

- Required components evaluates whether your blog report includes all required elements stated in the assignment. You need to successfully create a course reflection blog report and share it with the course community.
- Mechanics assesses the quality of writing and technical aspects of the blog report. Your report’s delivery should be polished and clean and show evidence of significant effort.
Submitting Your Assignment
Publish your blog report on your WordPress blog. Submit the URL for Blog Report #1 to Canvas.
