Hi everyone!
I would love to write about Taylor Swift and Swifties for my information community. I know this would fall into the broader category of Serious Leisure / Enthusiasts, and I was thinking I could focus on Taylor using her platform to inform fans on politics and feminism. I know it was said that it is hard to write about your own fandom because it can be harder to see the bigger picture, I also know there aren’t as many scholarly reviewed resources about her, so I am not sure if I should stick to this or try for something more broad like the music industry’s influence on feminism & feminist culture and just use Taylor and other artists as examples. I would love some guidance on if/how I could write about Taylor Swift or if I should go more broad.
