Hi all, I am interested in looking at how people learn indigenous languages, and specifically wanted to research those who are learning Quechua. I’m still wondering if I should focus specifically on Quechua learning in the States, or if I should broaden the scope and look at both Quechua learning in North and South America. In a similar vein, I wonder if I should consider making a decision between primarily looking at how the Quechua community learns the language as opposed to those not of Quechua descent or vice versa.
@ectaina I would suggest focusing on the Quechua learning community broadly. My thought is you will have to pull in LIS studies of language learners, learners in general, etc. It might be good to do some preliminary searches in the databases. See this for links to search help:
Thank you for the response, and for the tip about looking into language learners.
@ectaina Glad to help!
