Jumping in here! I’ve been using Zotero since my undergrad and I LOVE it. The browser extension means you can save sources with one click and sort them into whatever nested folders you like, and the latest update acts as a PDF reader so you can read and annotate your sources within the app. 10/10

Happy Saturday, @Michael! Quick question about the LIS Model Research Summary:
For the summary of other scholars who have used the chosen model/theory in their research, should I be focused more on applications of the model to various subjects? or developments/contributions to the model in the literature?
Hope that question makes sense!
-
@tlueders It does make sense and I would say you can do both or one or the other. One of the interesting things about models and studies that utilize the model, as you will see changes or suggested changes from scholars.

Excellent 🙂 thank you!

Hey all,
I’m considering a few alternatives for my subject community. The ones I’m most interested in currently are 1) Clergy and 2) Recent refugees in the SF Bay Area. #1 will need refinement, but there seems to be a decent literature base and some articles with helpful calls for further research. #2 is maybe more interesting to me, but I have…[Read more]

@tlueders I think you will find more LIS research on refugees than clergy. I recall one or two papers on info behaviors of pastors. The LIS literature on refugees of all kinds feels more robust. Might be worth some plenary searches. You can use studies on the info behaviors of refugees in general and apply them to your locally focused choice.

Hey all! This is not a request but I wanted to share something I learned that may help your formatting needs.
@Michael correctly points out that it is not easy to use indents (hanging or otherwise) on the WordPress blog editor. I did some googling and found this forum post that offers an HTML script that will construct a hanging indent…[Read more]

Hi, everyone!
My favorite podcast is “The Rest Is History,” which is – predictably – a history podcast hosted by Tom Holland (not Spiderman) and Dominic Sandbrook. TRIH has the rare combination of being genuinely funny, not exclusively focused on modern history, and British (the accents make it smarter). -
