➡️ ➡️ ➡️ Two-Factor AuthenticationTwo-Factor Authentication iSchool now requires each student to enable Two-Factor Authentication (or “2FA”) for their WordPress account on this site. You have 30 days to do so, otherwise your account will be automatically locked out. We strongly recommend that you do not wait and instead enable 2FA as soon as possible using the instructions provided here: https://ischool.sjsu.edu/wordfence
From our School IT:
Our main documentation is here:
Specifically, they’ll find the 2FA activation instructions under “How to enable two-factor authentication“. Screenshots are included in the tutorials.
They should also review the section labeled “How to log in with two-factor authentication“.

Anybody having trouble finding where to change the 2FA? I followed the instructions on wordfence but I’m not seeing the “login security” option for myself under the profile. I also don’t have the 2FA configuration popup on my home page. I might have dismissed it if I had it before.
I’m having the same issue!
Same issue!
@sandraeide Thanks for this! Can someone in class send me screenshots and I will post them?
@michael Hi! After reading the comments, I realized I was trying to find the login security for my individual blog made in INFO 203, not the class site for INFO 200. Once I switched to the class site, and went to the dashboard, I saw the “login security” option under the profile and was able to set up the 2FA for the class site.
@sandraeide Thanks for this!
oh! there are so many places that have settings related to profile, I was digging in the wrong places but finally found it. for anyone else who’s confused like I was, when you’re logged in, go to the dashboard (https://infocom.hyperlib.sjsu.edu/wp-admin/) and on the left side you’ll see profile > login security.
@michael assuming we need to do this for both the class site and our individual blogs, is that right? Either way, I wasn’t able to find the 2FA option for either
I was able to set up 2FA on our class blog site! However, setting up 2FA for the iSchool community blog we made in INFO 203 wasn’t an available option. I second @andreajones question. Do we need to do it for both blogs on wordpress @michael?
@carin @andreajones right now it’s just for this site. I think we were waiting to roll out. That is the next step on the community site. I need to check with Abigail.
