@michael Thank you for this clarification. I am still struggling to complete this column with confidence in the matrix. Could you provide a link to reference(s) of examples theoretical and conceptual frameworks?

Hi! I am wanting to use JSTOR’s offline solution, which has significantly expanded this year, as my research-based info source for my information community (people experiencing incarceration), and was hoping to get some feedback to see if that sounded right. Thanks for reading!

I’m currently working on my #sourcessurvey. Is there a major penalty for going over the word limit? I’m at 1577 words and trying to cut down, but I am finding difficulty.

Do the articles in our lit review need to be organized in the matrix in any particular order? Hello @marissatavener – There is no requirement for how they are listed. Some students use alphabetical order, others in order of interest. I like the idea of thematic groupings!

Hurray for this group! I had this question too and luckily I thought to look here first.

@michael This definitely helps with the community based source as being on a spectrum of the info cycle, thank you. I believe my book is still research based, later in the cycle, as it looks back at the cultural […]

@michael Thank you so much for this and for posting the updated video! I definitely get the theory or model aspect but have to wrap my head a little more around the conceptual framework, which feels more abstract. […]

@michael I started playing with the Lit Review Matrix template (yikes haha), starting by inputting the info from my article in Blog 4. Can you clarify the Theoretical/Conceptual Framework column? Looking at the […]

@michael Is it possible for an information source to be positioned in more than one place on the Information Cycle? As the show of my fan base is still on the air, information is covered that is both old and new. […]

@trases Hello – thanks for posting. I do not weigh in on specific choices because that is a major part of the assignment. Perhaps some of your classmates will chime in. 😀
From the Nautilus example I posted:
A Research-based information source is:
• Published by experts or academics
• Intended for use by many different people (community members, academics, etc.)
• One-way communication (from expert to reader)
• Provides fact-based authoritative content
• Fact-checked and edited
• May be formally preserved (…[Read more]
Of course, thank you!
