Great photos! Btw–in Edinburgh Castle, there is an old jail and new jail (gaol) with graffiti from the 17th century… could be from an American Revolutionary POW, maybe? Fun to speculate
@erin999 Oh yes – the jail was super interesting. We also toured a church in Stirling that had 1700s graffiti in the bell ringing chamber. I was amazed.
