  1. I have only seen a handful of Hartel’s videos, but they’ve all been so informative and helpful that I would like to join the Jenna Hartel Fan Club. Alas, the only thing I found after a cursory Google search for “Jenna Hartel fan club” was a panel she moderated called “Fandom, food, and folksonomies: The methodological realities of studying fun life-contexts” (which sounds super interesting and cool): https://doi.org/10.1002/pra2.2018.14505501089

    1. @julienoted I am in her fan club as well. I did my masters of library and information science from 92 to 95 and I honestly do not recall any mention of this type of research. I did my PhD from 2004 to 2007 and we had a class devoted to information behavior, but it still did not include anything related to seriously leisure and studying the pursuits of folks that are not looking for information in the library setting or whatever but looking for information regarded to their interests in life.
