Assignment Submission Guidelines & Rubrics

Below you will find the general submission requirements for the five major assignments of this course, as well as the grading criteria for participation, blog reports, and for all of your major assignments. If you have any questions about the submission guidelines listed below, please reach out!

Late Policy:

If you need to turn in an assignment late (for any reason), you must write to me before the deadline at mstephens7@mac.com.

  • If you do not write before the deadline, late submissions for major assignments will be reduced by 20% of the total points possible for that assignment.
  • There is more flexibility with Blog Reports. They can be up to 3 days late.

Blog Reports Submission Requirements

  • Each of the eight required blog posts will be posted by the prescribed due date on one’s WordPress blog site.
  • Blog posts must be at least 300 words in length.
  • Note: WordPress does not allow one easily to add a “hanging indent” for references listed in APA 7 format.
  • Submit each Blog Report URL to Canvas by the due date for grading.
  • All assignments are due on Sundays unless otherwise noted and must be turned in by 11:59 p.m. PT.
  • If life circumstances require students to request an extension, please do so several days before the assignment is due or as soon as possible.

Here is a PDF that breaks down how your Blog Reports will be graded:
